Bench time is spread evenly, and not just today. If someone sat extra last week, they start on the field this week. The app balances time and positions based on games played.

Minutes and positions are tracked every game and across the whole season, so you answer that with a number instead of a guess.
No signal at the field? Doesn’t matter
The app is cached on your phone. Keep running the game and it syncs when you’re back online.
What it actually asks of you
- How much am I doing during the game?
- Almost nothing. Build the lineup the night before, not just at the field. The substitutions are worked out before the whistle, so at the break they’re on screen and you tap each one off as it happens. Adjust it on the fly if things change.
- How long does setup take?
- One pass through a five-step wizard: pick your sport, name the team, type in the roster. Parent contacts are optional and can wait until you need them.
- What does “fair” mean here?
- Two things: time on the bench, and time in position. EvenBench balances both, within a game and across the season. Position preferences are available, and they nudge a player towards the spot they like.
